At Westernport Child Care Centre and Kindergarten, we understand that every child is unique and develops at their own pace. Our philosophy centres on play-based learning, where children are encouraged to explore, discover, and learn through play. This approach allows us to create an engaging environment that supports each child’s individual needs, growth, and curiosity.

Established in 1996 by Gerardo & Josephine Giacco, Westernport has a rich history of providing high-quality care and education to local families for over 29 years. We are committed to maintaining a beautiful and welcoming facility, meticulously cared for by our dedicated maintenance team. This commitment ensures a safe and nurturing "home away from home" for children, families, and educators alike.
Our Team
we are fortunate to have a wonderful team of people who love what they do. We currently boast that 22 of the team have more than 5 years of service with us, noting this number includes 15 over 10 years, 9 over 15 years, 6 over 20 years and four over 25 years of service, truly amazing.

We also take pride in being a teaching organisation, helping countless educators achieve their career goals and dreams, from Certificate III qualifications to bachelor’s degrees in early childhood education.
Our Commitment to the community
Westernport has a proud history of supporting our communities, whether this is in the way of fundraising for charities, for example the $10,000 raised for the Lukemia foundation over the past 3 years to sponsoring local sporting clubs, we are there to help and make this a better world any way we can.
