Commitment to the Learning Environment
At Westernport Child Care Centre and Kindergarten, we are committed to providing a beautiful, well-maintained indoor and outdoor environment. We believe that children learn best when they feel safe, secure, and respected. Our physical spaces are thoughtfully designed and cared for to inspire curiosity, creativity, and a sense of belonging. By modelling respect for our environment, we help children develop an appreciation for their surroundings and foster responsible habits. As stated in the Early Years Learning Framework, “Learning environments are welcoming spaces that reflect and enrich the lives and identities of children and families and respond to their interests and needs.” Through this approach, we support children in becoming environmentally responsible and aware citizens.

Attendance Recording and Surveillance
At Westernport Child Care Centre and Kindergarten (WPCCC), child attendances are digitally recorded using Xplor, a government-approved software application. This ensures secure, accurate documentation in line with all relevant regulatory requirements. Data is safely stored and managed with support from our IT providers. Our centre also uses a closed-circuit CCTV system in rooms and outdoor areas, which is password-protected and accessible only on-site, enhancing safety and accountability. Full policies regarding attendance recording and surveillance are available from management at any time upon request. These systems reflect our commitment to transparency, child safety, and compliance with early childhood regulations.
